
Dr. Wandel is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist. She graduated from the University of Chicago with honors and has done humanitarian work in Brussels and Eastern Europe with the United Nations in addition to helping establish health care services in underserved areas of Chicago.
Dr. Wandel attended medical school at New York Medical College, followed by internship at Greenwich Hospital where she received awards for her compassionate care. She completed her residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, followed by a glaucoma fellowship at Mt. Sinai Hospital. She enjoyed sharing a glaucoma practice with her father in New York before moving to Connecticut with her family and currently enjoys activities including time with her family, rowing, piano and volunteering.
