We’re excited to announce ReFocus Eye Health has acquired OptiCare Eye Health & Vision Centers. This partnership adds three new locations to our growing network in the Northeast. Our new locations allow us to serve Waterbury, Westport, and Torrington areas and the surrounding communities.
With the addition of these offices, we are also adding several passionate and skilled eye care experts. “We couldn’t be more excited about the surgeons and staff of OptiCare becoming part of the ReFocus family”, said Daniel Doman, Chief Executive Officer of ReFocus. “When combined, the staff adds nearly 500 years of eye care experience to our team. Adding this depth of expertise will help ensure that our combined organization will continue providing unparalleled eye care for decades to come.”
OptiCare has served the local community since the 1980s. Over the last four decades, the organization has evolved in many ways to best serve patients—including the addition of outpatient surgical care within its own ambulatory surgery center and laser center, both based in Waterbury.
OptiCare’s transition into the ReFocus family is yet another evolution that proves their commitment to providing the best care to their patients. As this experienced team aims to ReFocus, they are:
- Welcoming back wonderful doctors of the recent past (ReFocus’ very own Dr. Angela Bosjolie will be returning to practice in the Waterbury, CT office)
- Bringing in brilliant new practitioners (Dr. Neil Kalbag, Dr. Nicole Broden, and Dr. Erika Wandel)
- Keeping the skilled experience of the doctors patients have come to know and love (Dr. Richard Gilbert, Dr. Jeffrey Oberman, and Dr. Mark Tannenbaum)
